What's up Windy City!

Welcome to March! Is it Spring yet?! Won’t be long…and we’ll be talking our annual Murph event…a summer staple at Windy City. In fact, you can go ahead and save the date for this year…June 2nd. But that’s a ways off. Back to March. We’re excited to feature another fantastic AOM profile; a retail deal of the month; and, the CrossFit Open is here. We’ll be running Saturday heats for the next four weeks. We’ll keep you posted on Saturday heat sign-ups each and every week; and we’ll try to accommodate as many as possible. Congrats to all those who entered this year. Remember… Have FUN! It’s a long grind. Lastly… be on the lookout for some unique events coming up. Who likes barbells? Bourbon? Stay tuned…

    Come join us for a member's only, BOURBON swiggin, bench pressin, skull crushin, bicep poppin JACKED-tastic time. Take a load off, get JACKED, and drink BOURBON. Sounds horrible, right? We've got Fifty/50 Restaurant Group Beverage Director, Best in the Game (and longtime Windy City member) Ben Schiller coming in to teach you the nuances of BOURBON, and show you how to make three go-to cocktails (so you can impress all your friends–like a BOSS), and of course get in some BOURBON tasting.

  • Goodbye, Back Room
    March is the last month we’ll have access to the back room. We’ve made our best attempts to keep the back room part of our space, but after negotiating with the building owner for months, we couldn’t come to an agreement that benefitted Windy City and its members. Plus, our residential neighbors continue to complain about noise coming from the gym on that side. We apologize for any inconvenience, but please know that we really did our best to keep the space available for our members. We will be making layout changes to the gym, and will be doing our best to accommodate stretching and warm-up areas. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we make the transition. 

  • Please sign in at the kiosk before/after your workouts
    We’ll be honest, we've been pretty lax about checking you in before your workout. But we need to make this mandatory so we can keep tabs on how full classes are in order for you to get the best experience at the gym. So starting today, please make checking in at the kiosk part of your workout routine. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

  1. Eloise: App I'm Into
    Way of Life—It's a simple visual for me to see if I'm getting done what I need to be getting done everyday. Striving for green bar graphs and pie charts vs red ones.

  2. Annie: Book I'm reading
    Joined a book club that Windy City members coordinated called S**thole Book Club - WCSC. First up, AMERICANAH.

  3. Chris: Habit I'm Trying
    Not to drink alchohol for six weeks because my Mom always told me to lead by example.

  4. Patrick: What I'm eating

    Kodiak Cakes On The Go—Traveling a lot some times it’s hard to eat enough. 10g Protein, 35g Carbs, 7g Cat and a muffin like mix. Easy to prep and great to travel with.
