Growing up in Arizona, PJ was always riding around outside on his BMX bike and playing every sport possible. He continued staying active after high school sports and participated in Spartan races and fell in love with weightlifting. He loved the precision and technicality of weightlifting, but he was missing the daily competitiveness and camaraderie. And then he found CrossFit and was hooked
After a few years PJ trained High school athletes in tabata style strength training to help improve skills on the field it felt natural to begin coaching CrossFit. He has seen how CrossFit has bettered his own life and wants to make a positive impact on others. He has even gotten his mom to do CrossFit every morning back in Arizona! PJ believes that functional fitness is a major part in living a long, healthy, and happy life. His goals at Windy City are to keep athletes motivated to live an active lifestyle in and out of the gym.
