Windy City Strength & Conditioning is a dedicated, full time strength and conditioning facility, and the home of Windy City CrossFit—the first CrossFit facility in Chicago. We use kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, bumper plates, jump boxes, medicine balls, rowers, gymnastics rings, parallettes and pull-up bars to effectively train our athletes every day.
CrossFit in 100 Words
Eat meat and vegtables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train all major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerks, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: Pull ups, dips, rope climb, push ups, sit ups, presses to handstands, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc. hard and fast five to six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Experienced at managing groups, as well as working with individuals in a one-on-one setting, our staff will teach, motivate and inspire you to get (and stay) in shape.

Since 2008, Windy City has hosted an annual workout in memory of Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael Murphy, and all fallen veterans. We're proud to say that we've raised over $120,000 for the Navy SEAL Foundation.
The Sierra Club Foundation
At Windy City, we believe in getting out there, experiencing the world, seeking new and exciting challenges...and using our health and fitness to be the people we were meant to be. We also believe in giving back, paying forward and being socially responsible.
We believe so strongly in this that we’ve partnered with Merchant Giving Project so that a portion of every credit card transaction will be donated to The Sierra Club Foundation, an organization dedicated to safeguarding our planet so future generations will have an “out there” left to explore.
Barbells for Boobs
Windy City started hosting an annual fundraising event in 2016 helping Barbells for Boobs, a non-profit organization that strongly believes that everyone has a right to know if they're living with breast cancer. Together, we've raised over $21,000 for the organization, which involves a team workout, raffles and prizes. Join us at our next event in December and help everyone who benefits from this organization.
